How to make a Magic Potion in real life? What effect can it produce? How can the MAGIC happen?
If your child wants to have a Harry Potter themed birthday party, they are probably a big fan of Harry Potter and have already read all the Harry Potter books and watched all the movies.
What makes the Harry Potter saga so attractive for the children? It’s the Real Magic, the fact that Witches and Wizards can flick their magic wands and turn into an animal or make the enemy vomit slugs… It’s exactly what all Harry Potter fans are dreaming about – let the MAGIC happen!
The children are dreaming to be a part of the magical world and make the things that they can’t make in the real life, see things that they can’t find an explanation for, so they will consider them as MAGICAL.
POTION MAKING is one of the key subjects studied in Hogwarts and a lot of funny scenes of the potion class are featured in the Harry Potter books and movies. The children know that to brew a Potion, they will need magical ingredients and the potion recipe. But is it possible to make a Magic Potion at home? What magical effect could it produce? You can make a Magic Potion at home, but the essential question is – what will be the purpose of your Potion Making?
The children know that there are a variety of potions: Felix Felicis will bring you luck, Polyjuice Potion will help you turn into somebody else, Amortentia will ensure you the love of the person who drinks it… but those potions are extremely difficult to brew.
If your child wants to have a Harry Potter birthday party – they wants to be a Witch or a Wizard. So let’s prove to them that they have MAGIC POWERS!
My invention (that became a part of a “Potion Making” book, commonly used in the Magical World), is a REVEALING POTION. A Revealing Potion is a kind of TEST – it’s aimed to reveal if the person who prepares it has magical abilities.
For the kid’s Harry Potter party – it’s a MUST HAVE!
The children will use Magical Ingredients, labeled with beautiful vintage labels and follow the recipe that you will print. Each child will mix their own potion and use magic to discover if they have Magic Powers.
But what about the “Magical Ingredients”? Will you have to run to Diagon Alley to obtain Phoenix Tears and Bezoar Powder? Will you have to dry beetles to make a powder? Good news! You will find all the ingredients in your kitchen cupboard or at your local grocery store! All ingredients are edible and are absolutely safe for the children to manipulate.
Naturally, to make the Magic Potion work, the children will have to use their Magic Wands. This Potion Making includes an ingredient that you will have to explain about to the children. It will create a magical atmosphere and make their excitement grow. You will discover it within the simple instructions that come with the Potion recipe and magical ingredients labels.
But what happens at the end? How will the children know if they have Magic Powers?
The last step of the Potion making will reveal if the children have Magical abilities. I advise to add the last ingredient not at the same time for all the children, so they can see what effect the Revealing Potion produces for their friends. The suspense will be at its top and the children will be excited to discover if the Magic will happen for them!
